740 Spoiler 700

I pulled a rear spoiler off of a 1985 Turbo 740 from a wrecking yard and its an original Volvo part that is stamped Volvo. Does anyone know exactly what year 740's these were installed on from the factory and if they also came on 760's? I'm wondering if this spoiler will fit on a 760.

    Hi

    There is 2 different types of rear spoilers on the 700 series cars

    The lip type it sits on the trailing edge of the boot lid. It has bolts throught the boot lid this type can be found in black rubber or painted

    The big type This type sit on top of the boot lid (see link) It is attached by two clips on either side of the boot lid (part number volvo #1394344)

    Both these spoilers are common to the 700 series the first type is less common. If your 760 has the same type of rear end and boot lid as the car you pulled it of it will fit

    These spoilers were fitted(mostly a showroom option some factory fitted)to the 700 series from the first 700 series in 82 until the rear end was updated in the late 760/940&960
