I felt like the luckist person in the world to find and buy my 91 245 wagon. Then I found and spent some time on brickboard. My volvo was the second best find in my auto life. You people, your sense of community and your concern for one another makes me proud to own my brick and to have found you. the country is so divided right now politiclly yet I find real unity here. No matter what day I have a problem I know you will be here for me and for that I thank you.

Beware of friendly people ... 200

..they may be part of a cult aiming at converting you.

    For example:
"Mum, dad. I've joined the Brickboard. I like working on cars. So, I've decided to drop out of law school and become a mechanic."

I'm actually surprised we all seem to get along so very well here. Other message boards I post on aren't quite as totally friendly.

The other main website I spend most of my online time is http://www.basketballboards.net. I'm a huge basketball fan (specifically the Blazers), and that website is to basketball what this site is to Volvos. It's not nearly as "friendly" over there like it is here (I guess you could say). There are certainly posters there that are, uhh, disliked for whatever reasons.

I think a lot of it has to do with the age of the users browsing the different forums. BBB.net probably has a much younger audience then Brickboard does. (I won't venture a guess as to the age demographic on brickboard, but I'd guess it's mostly 16-30 on BBB.net.)

I'm 19 my self, for what it's worth.

You know, the more I think about it, the more I'm amazed just how smooth things go around here...

    Hello,

Now that we are on to political statements, I would say that Brickboarders from all over the world convene here with everything else but their love of Volvo's checked at their homepage.

Myself I find the people here regardless if they are south of my border or otherwise a class above to interact with.

Just the thoughts of a proud and patriotic Canadian...

Yep, this is a pretty friendly place! No descrimination between conservative and liberal volvo drivers!! But front wheel versus rear wheel - now that is a debate!!

Colin Powell is a big Volvo fanatic - his car was on Rolling Mag once - Although I never vote R for President, I would of given him the Volvo vote!!

On the other hand, I wouldn't have a volvo with OHC or struts....
But if I can help, I will.
