Guys

Does anyone know where can I get information concerning the type approval of my 85' 240? Basically all cars after 1996 in the EU come with the Certificate of Conformity. Are there any resources on the internet for checking for type approved vehicles? I have heard that it is possible to have an older vehicle and be compliant with newer type approval Directives.

Not much of an answer - really - more a plea from someone in the same situation.
I moved from UK to Finland with my '93 245 Estate. I have to register it here and pass the "MOT" - for this they are asking for manufacturers exhaust noise/emissions document. They do not need the "certificate of conformity" - just some data in a letter that says it is within certain limits.

I guess the problem is - that what you need will depend on what country you are going to.

BTW - if anyone can help me in looking for the above document - I need to get an answer in the next 14 days - or the car will have to go for a Viking burial.
