Ambient temp gauge volvo 200

Hey I found a nice ambient temp gauge in a 1984 240 turbo at the pick ur parts. It fits in the dash to the right of the spedo. It measures in deg F from 0-100 deg. I got the wiring harness but was wondering where the sensor would be mounted. Does anyone know where it would be mounted? Please let me know and I will go back out and see if I can find it.

Hey Steve,

They are usually mounted on a little L-bracket attached to one of the driver's side front bumper mounts.

Failing that, www.egauges.com sells the new VDO sensor for about 20 bucks.
