My 1982 240's clutch pedal sinks further and further down. This started happening all of a sudden last night on a trip back home. What do you think this is?

alright i checked up and the spring that is supposed to be there has popped off:)

nice

it explains the slack i felt,

time to look for the spare....:)


Scared the heck out of me 2 hours from home...hehe

I had the cable pull completely through on my '80 245.

I ended up welding a washer against the firewall to regain support:







That cable is never going to pull through again.

The release lever may have cracked and is bending, or the clutch cable anchor at the firewall is pulling through.
