Car just died. My 88 740gle. Needs a new battery. I know volvo makes there own batteries. Currently, there is a die hard in there right now (which I have been very happy with). Anyone recommendations on battery brands to drop into this beast? pros/cons etc.

I also have a Die Hard in my '89 740. This baby is still running solid since installing in 1995. I will try to get Die Hard again if I can find a deal on them. I'm in Vancouver, Canada and I purchased it at Costco back then. But now they only have Kirkland...

I have been buying Ever Start (made by Johnson controls) at wall mart for $39. Can't beat them, why pay more.

I've got a Die-Hard Gold on my 85 740 GLE for the past 4 years and have never had a problem. If you buy the Die-Hard, buy the best one (I think they have 3 grades)

where can i buy die hard?

I'm in boston off chestnut hill ave.

autozone only sells optima or some other brand

Diehard batteries are sold by Sears.
