A/C Oil Type and Amount

I have a Seiko/Sieki compressor in a 1994 940. It calls for a SK 20 PAG oil. Which viscosity is the right PAG Oil? One is 46, one is 100, and the other is somewhere in between.

I blew a hole in the condenser and I just pulled the accumulator and condenser. No oil has come out of the accumulator and just a couple of drops came out of the condenser. Am I still safe to just put 3 oz. in the accumulator and .7 oz. in the condenser?

Hello D.J.; If your system ,"blew a hole in the condenser"(ie. discharged under pressure) you probably lost most all of the oil with the refrigerent. In any case, you would not know how much was left, and how much to add to the system. If it was my 940, I would remove and drain the compressor, flush the condensor, lines, and evaporator and then install a new oriface valve if it has not been done in 3-4 years. Then deep vacumn, and add the Pag 100 ( total 7.43oz for the system) and re-charge ( 134a , 2.09 lbs).
