HELP shift indicator switch cruise wiring???? 89 240 5 sp. 200

hello, i am trying to wire the cruise from a 240 to my car...only thing left is wiring question here,

ok i have the wires to the brake and brake light switch fine...the clutch one though, it says the brown wire from the shift indicator goes to the red/blue one into the clutch switch...ok wheres the shift indicator sw.? is it the round one near the clutch pedal assy? i took the brown one from there and went straight to the blue/red wires..is it supposed to come FROM the indicator sw? or like i have it, and bypass the indicator sw altogather? then my volvo (factory book print) says take the black wire from the shift indicator (really it says el.switch is this the same thing?) and tape it up not to be used..the switch i found doent have a black wire, it has a white/black one...oh jesus im confused...

robert

please help me quick

What model year 240 donated it's cruise control to your project?

While I'm waiting for your reply, I'll look for my factory service manual for the 240 cruise control.
