Anyone in OR want to help out with an engine swap??? 200

On my birthday, the first, my car decided to take a hit and suck in a screw from one of the choke plates in my 142... I am getting a '75 engine from a friend down here in corvallis, but I don't have anywhere to do an engine swap. Does anyone here wanna help me out with that? I haven't done one before, but it shouldn't be hard really... Shayne from IPD is offering to help, but he'll charge most likely, it'll be quite a bit cheaper than a shop, he's good about it, but you know, i don't really like paying out more than i really NEED to... Can anyone in OR(anywhere near corvallis or portland or in between or above and below) help me out?

I don't know what I can do, but if you need an extra hand, I'm game.

I have an engine I'm going to need to swap soon my self, so I'd be interested in seeing how it's done.

This is a time when I really wish I had a garage... heh heh heh...

    I live in Portland.

I'll talk to Rob over at Vol-Tech (formerly GW) and see if he has any recommendations. Hell, he might let you use the shop!

    Just let me know.

Is it so bad that you have to change the engine? Once you get the screw
out it may be OK. Now if it were a 5/16" hex nut (like I did in Panama
in 1995, doing minor damage to the head and a little damage to the piston
but destroying my big-bore block and the unfortunate hex nut......)

Sorry but I lack a LOT of being close enough to give any hands-on
assistance. But I recommend: Don't let it get you down!

Well, it may not be THAT bad, but considering that I already tried fishing for the screw with a magnetic stick thingy in the cylinder, and i also tried blowing it out by starting the engine with the plug out... The car still makes the valve clacking on piston sound... And considering that I want to dyno the car on the 25th, and not worry about some worn out pistons that are dented and some uneven compression and smoking upon decel, I'll just go with the '75 b20 i can get from a guy in town for $200. =D He says it's up for thrashing, and stuff... ;)
