Salvage injectors? 200

I've taken out the injectors on my '90 240 GL and i am about to send them off to be tested/cleaned.

But...

The nozzle on one looks *bent* ever so slightly. I can see it just my eyes, but a magnifying glas makes it clear.

I'm guessing this mean the injector is hosed. Right?

So, if I need a new injector (that costs what, a minimum of $175 new? 125 rebuilt?), is it worth it to pick-and-pull one or two?

I would figure many would be fine with cleaning, but does the cost of cleaning and the chance of getting a bad one offset the savings?

In the event you do need a new injector(s) FCP Groton has new Bosch injectors for your 90 for $78.00 each.
    Here's the catalog page ...

I pulled a set at the pick-n-pull for $3 each and sent them off to be cleaned, etc.
The "before" was terrible, the after about 2% range around spec.
YMMV, but that's a heck of a lot chaper than one new one, AND I know they're all the same.

That sounds pretty high for a rebuilt injector.
You should be able to get all you want pretty cheap at a salvage
and (at the risk of sounding redundant) I've been very happy with
both the service and the price of injector cleaning and calibration
at Cruzin Performance. Mine were about $11 apiece, your cost may vary.
They also came back with all new seals.

Wonder how your nose got bent outta shape........

They're going Cruzin as soon as I scrounge a box.

I might have bent it (aargh!). I padded everything while I was pulling them out (they're in there pretty tight).

But... who's more likely to screw it up -- me, or a professtional (even a so-so one)?

I'm going to tell myself over and over that I couldn't have done it, just so I don't cry too hard when i write the check if I buy one retail.

I do think I'll try the pick-n-pull first though, just for the fun of it if nothing else. I love those places.

What other years have the same injectors as my '90 240?

        Injector ID 200

I've found the RPR catalog to be a VERY handy reference for questions
        like that. THANKS, RUSTY!!
If you know what they look like and have the number off of them that should
        help a lot.
I certainly would NOT buy a new one at this late date!

I don't know, but see if they still work. The mist should have an even spray pattern, and come out fine with no drips of droplets. If it does that, then it does everything it needs to.
