Don't worry; it's quite easy actually and you can do it with just one tool, a combination slotted/phillips screwdriver. I can do it in 5 minutes easily, and could literally do it blindfolded (I've done it more times that I would ever want to know):
As you go, put the screws and other small pieces up on the dash and on the little ledge on the right side:
With slotted screwdriver:
1. Pull off rheostadt and headlight knobs, pry off the plastic cover and let it hang by the wires if you've got the foglight switch hooked up (you probably will, whether or not you've got fog lights).
2. Assuming you don't have the small clock or any extra gauges, use the screwdriver to pry off the two square black plastic trim pieces to the right of the cluster.
With phillips screwdriver:
3. Take off the two screws on the top of the steering wheel column cover. Set the cover aside and put the two screws on the little ledge.
4. On either side of the cluster are two phillips screws that hold it in place. Take all four of these off, and the little clip on the left hand side, and the cluster should be free.
5. Pull the cluster straight back (you'll want the steering wheel to be centered so the cluster will come out on top of the steering wheel flat part) until you can get your hand back there to start taking the wiring connectors off. The big connectors might be a little tough. You don't need to label the big connectors because they only go on one way. But you should take note of where any single-wire spade connectors go. There will only 2 or 3 of them, and they also are reasonably obvious, but take note of where they go just the same.
That's it, the cluster will come out straight back and then you can slide it out to the right. Jumpering the board is also easy. Follow the instructions on that other post. Once you have the cluster apart, be very careful not to bend or break the gauge needles. Ask me how I know.
