Clunk when shifting 200

1981 245 After a lot of work and help from the brickboard, oly is finally running not too bad! My newest problem is a clunk from the rear when I shift into second and third. Doesn;t happen all the time, about 50% of the time after it's warmed up. Tends to slip sometimes on the shift into second and then it is a triple clunk. I have had the clutch replaced, changed the shocks and can't figure it out. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thainks, Bob

    Clucking when sifting? or Clunking when weight of the car shifts from front to Rear? Do some more testing, accelerate & shift to 2nd gear and play with the accelerator (and don't shift) When I makes clunking sounde due to the weight shift, you may have play in differential. Check diff mount and rear subframe mount.

    Possible culprits include:
    rear suspension bushings (including Panhard rod)
    u-joints
    transmission crossmember support
    ...and check engine mounts, too
