i have a set of white ones i got off ebay, just 2 posts that you'll need to punch holes in the top of your seat to get em attached(?) i'm not going to use them.

I would think your best bet would be to find some seats that already have headrests... If there were ad-on optional units, I doubt they would have the sliding tracks that the later ones have. You should be able to find correct looking seats off a '68-70 car. Maybe '71. Somewhere around there they switched designs...

Of course, if yours is an early Jensen built car, the seats I mentioned won't be the same, but would probably bolt in fine. you can also fit seats from a last series production e or es with only minor track/mount adjustments. I've got those in my '65, and I love 'em.

I have a pair of 164 headrests that would probably work on a 68 or later,
but you will have to punch a couple holes.
I would not trust ones that are not firmly attached to the seat because they
offer no support when you need it most (rearend collision).

I appreciate the offer but I was looking for the ones that were meant for the 1800 seats...have you ever seen or heard of them?

I assume you're talking about the clip-on headrests that were available as an accessory from Volvo ? Those are quite rare. I have a set of black adjustable ones but I am using them and intend to keep them. I know a guy from the 1800 List who has a set very similar to mine and as far as I know he wants to sell them. He told me he's never used them so they are basically brand new. The only thing is that you can't adjust the height of the headrests on his (on mine you can) which may not make things any safer if you are fairly tall. E-mail me at rojSPAM_OUT@telus.net if you want to get in touch with the guy with the headrests. Remove the SPAM_OUT part from my e-mail addresss to e-mail me.
