240 Front Wiper Motor Replacement-- Another question!

Thanks for everyone's helpful advice for replacing my front wiper motor in my 240. A few of you mentioned checking the ground wire first, but I don't have a good illustration of what the motor looks like or where it's located. Like I said, I'm a true novice. Anyone know where to find good illustrations? My Haynes manual doesn't help too much. Thanks again!

240 Front Wiper Motor Replacement-- Another question!

The wiper motor is easy to spot.

If you open the hood, right below the windshield on the passenger side is this odd cylinder looking device, which is attached something which looks remotely like a disk.

Here's a link captured through google's wonderful searching abilities, featuring a wiper motor relatively like what you'll find in the 240 (without the wires and far more simplified)

It's the second link from the top.
