Fuel Odor 700

Hi guys. I have a 1990 740 (non-turbo). While the weather is warm, and while I am driving, I can smell a strong gas odor. When i step out of the car, the smell is not noticeable. I have checked the gas tank, the engine compartment, and all the lines for a fuel leak and didn't see any. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks and have a good day.

    Find the black plastic evaporative control cannister at the very front of the car and check for a disconnected hose.
