Which model of Volvo did this badge adorn? 200

Hello all,

Many moons ago, long before my first 240 purchase, I was in the junkyard picking up a driver's door for my S-10 Blazer, and I snagged this VOLVO badge.

I liked the lettering and kept it for that reason. It is now hot-glued to one of the filing cabinets in my office, but I have no idea which model of car it previously adorned. Any ideas? It had two prongs on the back that I snipped off, so that it would sit flush on the cabinet.

Thanks,
Keith

Looks like the one on my 78 245 DL, except the non-black background.

I would have to look at the ones I took off of my '79 but I'm pretty sure it's the same as in your picture, except with the black paint as Rich mentioned. The badges on the '80 are different. I'm guessing they appeared from the introduction of the 240 thru '79. Earlier series? I don't know.

    Hey Keith,

Looks like you polished it up nice as well!!! It would have black matte paint in behind the lettering. My guess would be a late 140 or 160.

    Happy Bricking!!!
