injector fault code 1-1-3 question 900

Have check engin light with fault in fuel injector code 1-1-3, and code 2-3-2 for rich lean idle compenstion. Car seems to run ok except for a little ruff idel. Injectors are one of the few items that I have not worked on, can you give me tip/info? I'm sure this is a common thing but I lack experience with it?

TIA "Park"

injector fault code 1-1-3 question 900

The 113 code is an injector code if it is a 960. The 960 actually has two injector codes 113 and 115. One code for each group of three injectors. If the ground connection is poor or temporarily lost you should get this code. check the ground connections. If helps to have a wiring diagram for this although you can trace out the ground connections, there are just alot of them. Check the connection on the relay on the strut tower on the driver's side. There should be two relays (four wires each)clipped on to a metal bracket. Both relays are the same just used in different ways.

On a 940 with a LH2.4 system check out the O2 sensor(readings between .1 and .9) and check grounds including the ground on the AMM. The injectors work off the ground so a poor ground will cause the injectors to work erratically.

This is the best information I could get from the manuals I have.

is it a 940? i would pull the fuse for the ecm. that will clear the code and reset the adaptation. if it occurs again, there are 12 steps in the factory manual to chase it. 232, or 231, will always pop when a rich/lean out of range occurs. if its a 960, sorry, don't have that book. good luck, chuck.

Thank You, will do and let you know, this Volvo problem is my 240 not my 940, but I noticed much overlap in systems and feel they are the same.

Thank you, "P"
