Rear wheel bearing replacement/ tools needed? / difficulty? 200

I've been hearing a squeaky wheel noise from the rear of my 90 240 wagon 165000, for quite some time only at slow speeds. I also noticed yesterday of a grinding rubbing noise coming from the rear end.
I'm pretty sure that the bearings need replacing.

I've purchased the bearings but after looking at the manual I noticed there is a Volvo special tool called out.
Has anyone done this with a puller of some sort bought a local auto part sstore?
I would like to do this myself, but hesitate when special tools are required or a press is needed.

Looking for any good advice before (reluctantly) bringing her into the shop.

Thanks everyone

I rented a slide hammer to pull the axle. If there is an AutoZone near you, they loan tools for free (refundable deposit required).

The bearing itself will have to be pressed off the axle, new one & retainer-ring pressed on. I took axles to the local automotive machine shop, as I don't have an H-press.

I repacked my rear axle bearings a bout two years ago and I didn't use any special tools that I recall. The axle just pulls out once all the brake hardware is removed etc. You will need to have the bearing pressed off the axle and the new one installed with a press.
