Hi all-

I normally lurk on the 200 forum, as the old timer needs more help than the '90 744Ti... however!

I need to get some struts for the trunk. I see FCP Groton has them (PN 1334648, $13 each) . But I've read several people saying that Scan Tech parts are garbage.

Has anyone purchased these struts, or is there a better and/or lower cost alternative? The existing struts just barely work when it's hot out, and as it's getting colder, they don't really hold the trunk up anymore.

    I have a 1986 74OT wag., replaced my trunk struts with brand from Pep Boys for about $13. Mine have been in there for over 6 years still work great!!! I might add, I have a daughter and a dog, and I am a landscaper, so the trunk gets a good amount of use!!! (Sorry I can not remember the brand name but they where much eassier to install) I recomend not getting the struts with the little metal clip...if they make them any more...
