How do you fold down the back seat in a 240 wagon? I don't have a manual 1991 240 wagon.

I thought I would mention that you can buy new ownder's manuals from the original publisher, Kencook. I searched ebay and bookstores for a manual for my 81, going prices were around $30-40. Bought a brand new one for $16.50 plus shipping.

Thanks Everyone,
Got the seat to work, and I ordered a new manual! It should be here next week.

I don't know if it is the same in all 240's, but in my 1983, the procedure is as follows. There is a handle at the bottom front of the "seat" part of the back seat. Pull that up and fold the "seat" forward. There is a second handle on the back of the upright portion of the back seat. Pull that handle and fold the upright portion down. Voila!

In my wagon, the back seat will not fold fully if the front buckets are all the way back in their tracks. The front seats need to be moved forward slightly.

Good luck,
Keith

Don't forget, on a 91 you have to remove the rear headrests before you fold down the seatback. They just lift straight out.
