AC Blows Hot Air S90-V90

Hi. I have a 97 V90. Today, my AC decided not to blow cold air. I checked the compressor and it was running, but no cold air. A few weeks ago, it did this and I turned the car off and it ran for a while then went hot again. It was such a hot day, I ran the car through a car wash to cool it off for me and my dogs who were passengers(dark color=very hot). I started the car up and it was cold and stayed cold for the next four hours of my car trip. I have actually had my engine replaced since this originally occurred. Do you have any ideas why this might be happening? My car is for sale and I would like to sell a correctly running car.

It is really hot today...in the 90's and humid.
