Installing Idle Air Control motor/Valve 200

Which way should the arrow on the IAC Valve point? Toward the engine block (toward the hose that connects to the back of the intake manifold)or toward the hose that leads to the stub on the air intake flex hose? I think the engine will run and idle in both positions. Thanks, Jim

    Installing Idle Air Control motor/Valve 200

    The IAC routes idle air from the stub on the air intake hose, around the closed butterfly plate in the throttle body, into the intake manifold. That's the direction of flow.
