Wagon is typically mounted vertically on a bracket, in the left rear of the car. The sedan normally has it mounted to the bottom of the speaker shelf- the top inside of the trunk, mounted horizontally.

The changer is mounted in the passenger side rear well, just to the outside of the storage/spare area. Your's is probably not prewired, but that's where it fits on the wagon.

I mounted mine in the glove box in my '92 940 Sedan. EZ to wire it there.
