Mysterious Drain 200 1992

ok, there's a drain on my car that renders it absolutly useless and nothing more than a beautiful sight to stare at :), so anyways, there is a 3amp draw on the 8th fuse (lamps, clock, radio, and some other stuff). If anyone has any ideas on what might be happening, please give your advice

If you are using a digital meter you won't notice it is the clock. With my needle type meter (analog) I couls actually see the clock "ticking" as the needle pulsed.

Hello Matt:

Start disconnecting lamps, clock, radio and some other stuff while monitoring the draw on fuse 8. When the draw drops, you have found your culprit. It's a little more complicated than that, because the radio and clock will continue to draw current, but you get the idea...

Good luck!
