D6940GL Help. 900

Hello all,

Got a D6 940GL. In previoous post I stated that it wasnt moving very fast. I took in to a Volvo dealership to get it checked out. The mechanic said I needed the ignition pump calibrated. What and where is this contraption? Does that sound right? He also told me I needed new brake pads, rotors, and brake housings. Are brake housings calipers? I found some good prices on all these things on volvopartsdirect.com for a 940 Turbo. Will this work for my eurospec D6940GL as far as brake parts go? Thanks for your help guys. Later.

Dorian

Injection pump callibrated? I assume he ment timed. This is not a periodic maintnence item. If it was running good before and timing is off, then the entire engine timing needs to be checked ( front timing belt and rear injection pump.
If you got it running lousy or it started acting up after a timing belt or pump belt change, then mabey pump timing will be enough. In your part of the world, they usually get it right, but in the US, almost every shop done timing belt or pump belt change results in improper timing.

I'll send you some troubleshooting stuff for that engine.

I Don't know about the "brake housing" terminology.
