Loss of Coolant Sensor 700 1990

The FAQs indicate that the 760s came equipped with a loss-of-coolant sensor, but I'll be dashed if my 1990 turbo has one. Is there a particular year or model that had these installed? I'd like to just pull and install a used one. Thanks!!

im not sure ALL 760'scame with them...particularly not around that period...the reason I say this is that my 940t (1991) has a 760 loom (so im told by my local volvo dealer - after some confusion!) and it doesnt have the wiring connectors...

maybe all 760's with the 6 cylinder engine did, but the turbo's didnt??? just a thought...

I just fitted the later model square tank with sensor and ran an earth wire to a buzzer in the column shroud...makes a hell of a din...(which is what i want if my water is all over the road...)

Most had them. Look under the coolant reservoir.

      Hello Steve:

My dear departed '89 760GLE did not have a loss of coolant sensor.

Nada, Steve. I also took a look at the parts manual for my model, and nothing's indicated. Is it possible that only the 16-valve engines were fitted with one?
