Hi All,

I have a leak in my sunroof. Actually it is a series of leaks! The first area is the sunroof glass which is leaking on both sides between the glass and the metal bracket attached to the glass. The other area leaking is the back of the sunroof tray by the two rear drain holes.

In both cases the leaks are due to the caulking/sealant having failed. My question is what caulk or sealant is recommended? I am using silicone but want to get people’s recommendations before I proceed. Removing the headliner and sunroof is a royal pain and I don't want to have to redo my work a few years down the road.

    Well my 97 960 leaks to and usually comes out at dome light let me know what ya find out all my draines are clean

      Rather depresssing to say. But after taking the headliner out and the carpets the leak came dowm to the seal around the sunroof!!!! The water found its way ALL over the car via small splits in the sunnroof glass. this was revealed after I removed the seal aroud the sunroof glass and i found gaps between the glass and the metal reatainer. Moral of story is fix the sunroof before ripping the car appart!
