Is ther a way to repair a antena wire 200

I accidentally cut (don't ask) the antaena wire on my 85 244 and wonder if I can somehow repair it without having to put a new one in. I have the electric antaena so it looks like there is both a power wire and of course the antaena wire in the cord. Thanks in advance!

I think you can splice it back together without a problem. Cut back the insulation in the normal way and rejoin the wires,(soldering would be best) and insulate. Of course the power wires are not critical but the center antenna signal wire is shielded to reduce interference but a short unshielded part at the splice would make no difference. You may have to bridge the connection for the sheild with a short length of wire.

If you are really anal you could probably find a pair of mail/female connectors for the antenna part of the cable.
