Why? Bosch filters are only so-so. Have you tried the Bosch web site?

Use a Mann at least.
Even a Puralator is better.

Bosch oil filter? Why not Mann? 200

Did you say that Purolator is better than Mann or Bosch? I'm curious to hear your reasons why. I thought that Mann and Wix (also sold as Napa Gold) were in the top tier of oil filters as far as screen thickness and micron level. -and that the Mann filters are dimpled to prevent the folds from restricting oil flow. There's a reason why the Mann filters cost $6 to $10 each.

A Mann flows the best amongst those 4 you mention. This is important for Volvos. Especially on cold starts. I never had paid more than $4 each for a Mann though. Even I as an Amsoil dealer,I hesitate to use anything but a Mann for any of my Volvos that have a normal set up*

So no I didn't say Purolator is better than Mann in flow, but it is the best in filtering of the 4 mentioned.

Bosch is just a cheaply made filter. Not great flow or filtering ability either, so why bother?

Wix (Dana) seems to be an OK filter, not great, but adequate and well made.

*On my 245Ti I have a dual remote oil filter mount - I find Amsoil filters to work great - I use the large FL-1A size filters - so plenty of flow, lots of extra oil capacity and great filtering.
