B234F to B230FT swap? 900

just curious if it would be practicle to swap out the 16V B234F on my 91 940GLE w/ a B230FT from a 92-95 940 Turbo? What would I need to swap over from the B230FT?

It'll be a bolt in job. Get the engine, wiring harness, computer, intercooler and oil cooler from the donor car. Should not be any issues. It would be really nice to have the two cars side-by-side for the swap but that's not always practical, so grab everything you can think of from the donor car under the hood.
I do know of a '90 745T for sale/for parts right in my neighborhood- hit in the LF corner, 167K. if you're interested.

Thanks for the info guys. I wish you were a little closer to CA Rob. To get that car to California is going to be somewhat of a hassle. Hope the 745T is very very cheap lol.

its pretty simple you just need everything off of the other car wiring fuel pump if you go turbo and you have to do some wiring mods aswell for turbo like move the air box to the other side of car and lenghthen AMM wires I would recomend the non turbo version 230 if you are the average do it your selfer. I done a car and even after engine was in place and it all bolts up, gotta love volvo for that anyway it still took a weekend to wire up and plumb turbo Id go with non turbo becouse you can utilize all you wiring and computers. goodluck
