dead cruise control 700

My 92 745T has a dead cruise control. Ive checked the tailight connections, under the dash for the brake light switch, all vaccuum hoses, the fuse and so forth..Ive read everything in the 700-900 FAQ list...How can I check for a broken wire in the turn signal stalk and isnt there a CC module (I believe mine was replaced just before I got the car) It just all of a sudden quit working rather than having intermittent probs.

My cruise control issues were also vacuum related. The hose leaks at the switch.

The cruise control module is located behind the driver's side kick panel. Use a multimeter to check each pin ageinst known +12 and known gnd while toggling each button and switch. Accounting for the switch and the buttons means your lever switches are fine.

On a geeky note, the cruse control computer is based off of an 8051 microcontroller, simmilar to the one used in AT and PS/2 keyboards worldwide.

Mine did this last year. One of the vacuum lines going through the firewall on the drivers side was cracked at a "T" fitting. Good luck.
