NON-turbo performance mods? 200 1990

Hi

I donŽt know about some websites providing information about this, but there are some websites selling products which could improve performance of a NA engine. Take a look at the www.ipdusa.com website - there youŽll find basically everything you need for improving your car.

The common upgrade is a "VX" cam. Thats a Volvo original cam with a stronger camshaft and improved valves offering more hp for the B230F (130hp I suppose). Including the VX cam you could also install an adjustable cam gear for improved performance.
Next step is the exhaust system. Get one with a larger diameter and youŽll get 2-5 hp more.
Next improvement could be an electric fan. This gives also few hp (ca. 5) more.
Then you could use a K&N or other make sports air filter which offers also a hp upgrade.
I think (according to further postings) around 140-150 hp could be activated when you carry out all the mods listed above.

Like said before - take a look at IPD, for further information!

Good luck & a nice weekend

Ciao

M.P.
