Balance shaft fell out when I removed the timing cover... 900

I was changing the seals in my 93 940 while my head is being machined, and as I pulled off the front timing cover, the balance shaft came with it. I got the shaft back in, but I'm sure the timing is off. I have a side mounted distributor. Is there something I can do to align this shaft with the distributor or am I screwed?
Thanks,
Gil

Just turn the shaft until the rotor in the distributor lines up with TDC #1 cyl or the mark that you made on the side of the distributor. Not anything to worry about. Get a new gasket for the seal housing from volvo and smear of rtv and your set.
