Original Tires on 123GT and 1800E 120-130

As I remember the original tires on the 1968 123GT were Perilli (165/70 15), but I do not remember the model. I am pretty sure that the 1971 1800E came equipped with Michelin XAS. Can anyone confirm?

In addition, what tires were on the 1969 Amazon?

Thanks for your help.

Note: These Pirellis are NLA for many years. Used ones are extremely rare since the rubber compound they were made with was unusually vulnerable to ozone degradation.
Get some Michelin XZX in this size - they last forever.

To the best of my knowledge the tires were 165-15 (that was before low
profile tires became common) which is equivalent to 6.00-15 or 6.85-15.
I believe that is true of both the 123GT and the 122 but I don't know
about the 71 1800E. My 69 164 came to me in 71 with 165-15 tires also.
Both it and my 66 122 wagon are now wearing 195/75-15s on the same wheels.
(Occasional 205/75s are substituted when they run small - there is a lot of
variation between brands and sometimes the 195 are bigger than 205s.)

They look good and sturdy but not really particularly large on either car.
I'm sure it affects the speedo and odo but since neither has the right
speedo gear it doesn't bother me too much.

Yep, 122S and 123GT had 165/15 tires, which is equivalent to 80 series.

1800E came with 185-70/15... can't verify whether they were Michelins or what, though, sorry.

The 123 GT came with 165SR15 Pirelli and the 1800 E, factory off equiped with 5'' wheels, came with
Michelin 165/HR15 XAS.
The 1800 ES with wider steel wheels, 5 1/2 '', came with GS800 Goodyear,
185 70 HR x15
