1992 Volvo 960 Diagnostic code A2 socket

I have a 1992 Volvo 960 with the check eng light on. The code A2 socket is sending back 3-1-4 code dose anyone know what that is?

    3-1-4 is the camshaft position sensor code. It runs off the back of the exhaust cam and has a pigtail wire with connector over by the back of the intake cam. If you dont have a scan tool you wont know if its a high or low signal so will be difficult to test. Check the wires and connectors and if they are good and clean and tight then it may be faulty.
