What's involved in changing from the electric mirror controls to manual; just putting in the manual parts?

Why are you getting rid of the power ones. I might be interested in them if they work (or the harness even.)

They don't work. I'm not sure what the problem is.

Yes, and possibly stripping out the electrical stuff if you feel like it. The mirrors can just be swapped for manual parts and you're set. How much of the wiring/switches/etc you want to remove is up to you. If it unplugs easily you might want to remove the door wiring harnesses (otherwise they'll just be rattling around in your door), the rest I'd leave in.
