Cost of Volvo ignition leads!!! 700 1985

Well after being quoted anything from $130-$170 (Australian) for a set of ignition wires (and some of the sets did not even include the coil wire), I finaly went and bought a full set of 5 from a little known place right here in Queensland, and the set only cost me $60!

Quality 9mm performance wire in your choice of 4 difrent colours (red, blue, black, yellow), with volvo style plugs on the distributer end and a non volvo (but still good) extended plug on the spark plug end, all made up on the spot to suit your car.

They came with a 2 year warranty and the guy claims they are good for up to 250000kms.

I don't know what you guys have elsewhere, but that's serious value to me.

Cost of Volvo ignition leads!!! 700 1985

Just realised I forgot to say where the company is and how to contact them.

    Queensland Ignition Leads
    1560 Anzac Avenue
    Kallangur Queensland
    Australia 4503

    email: MQileads@aol.com
    phone: (07) 3886 5700
    fax: (07) 38865711

This may seem a little like advertising, but I have no ties to the company and I just want to help anyone in Australia who can't find any moderatly priced Ignition leads.

Oh and if your curious about how low the resistance is on the leads I got, I just tested them and they were as follows.
    The plug leads were - 1.23, 1.02, .89, .72
With the coil lead showing 1.13
Nice and low over all, and I know a low resistance is not that important, but it generaly is the sigh of a good lead.

I hope so, but I'm not too worried about it, this guy is supplying leads for drag racers and other race cars localy, and no one seems to be having any problems with them.

I'll be keeping an eye on the ones in my Volvo though to see how they go.

thsi may be total bs, but my brother got thru a couple of set of cheapo's and was told it was due to the fact teh bricks actually run higher power (cant remember if it was amps or volts) than most stuf so will fry leads not made for them...prob bs... but then again set of volvo leads...no problems..

Yeah Volvos do run quite a high energy ignition system, not really suitable for the really cheap leads, but the ones I bought are at least as good as genuine volvo.
I just found out today that there is a guy in another state that is selling the same leads, but has his on brand stamped on them (they both buy from the same wire maker in Melbourne), for around $50 more than the guy here.
