Electric seat memory failure. 900 1995

The seat memory on my 95 960 does not work. All of the movement controls work on the seat but, the memory buttons do nothing. Is this another switch contact failure or is their some chip for the memory that gets fried?

2 common causes. Internal switch fault, or 1 of the seat motor potentiometer conectors is loose. Grab a flashlight and have a look under the seat. There are 3 motors. It is possible for something to dislodge the conection. With potentiometer conection loss, the control unit has no frame of reference to operate the memory function. You can access the power seat fault codes from socket B-5 at the OBD box.

Mine was broken right after the warranty expired, and have been living with it ever since. I opened the control panel on the side of the chair once, but had no luck to find anything wrong. Hopefully, your post can draw a solution from someone.
