Am I having a senior moment? 140-160

Hi all,
I seem to remember on a couple of my old 164s I've owned before there was a strip of plastic moulding that ran along the top of the dash covering the rubber windshield seal. I think it was on my '70 and my'71. I now own a '69 and there is no such moulding. Did I imagine it or is it just missing?
Does anyone have one of these on their 164? If you have an extra, can I buy it?
Thanks.

    I've got a couple of 68 140s and I've seen piles of
    72-74s in salvage yards. I've also got a 70 164.

The 68s all have a rubber gasket around the windscreen
(and it's a bugger to find a new one). The later cars
all have plastic covers around the inside. The cars
with the rubber gasket have a little lip on the bottom
that covers the screws that hold the top of the dash
to the thingy under the glass.
    chris

I reckon '69 must have been the last year that didn't have it... my early (January) 1970 wagon does have trim peices you are talking about...

Looks like a complete windshield surround though, and most if not all the pieces are screwed in, and your car won't have the screw holes.

Don't you get the nice body color steel windshield surround with the early type? I think that is a lot more sharp than the somewhat cheap looking plastic personally.... I really like having somewhere to stick magnets inside my cars...

    -Matt

The '69 140 I'm familiar with does not have an interior trim around the windshield and no place to attach it. Seems like the later 140's have it though. I think the rubber gasket looks good.
