Tune-up parts needed 200 1988

Hi everyone.

I am taking a weekend trip to Ole Miss. to say goodbye to my aunt. She passed away. I am going to drive my car. I am pretty confident that my car will make it as is. Just don't want to get stranded on the road or in Miss. among the domestic auto shops. About 1100 miles round trip. What will i need to give my car a tune-up?

1. 4 spark plugs.
2. Spark plug wires incl.ignition wire.
3. new cap and rotor.
4. head cover gasket.
5 oil change.

What else did i forget?
Can i do these things myself? I do have a Bentley's and Hayes manual.

I need to get this done in the few days. I also need to take my third emissions test. Failed it twice already.

I could just take it to my indy Volvo shop but they are going to charge me A couple hundred so i figured i could handle this myself.

Thanks for the advice from everyone.

Add: Flame trap kit ($2.50 @ FCPGroton) and a throttle body gasket. Clean your throttle body thoroughly, lube it, and reinstall. Make sure the idle switch is adjusted properly. If yours is gunked up, you may experience a dramatic improvement in idle quality and you might just pass that emissions test without further work.
