turn signal lens turns yellow

Hey fellows Brick lovers,
I need a little info. I recently replaced the lens cover on the drivers side turn signal because it was yellow when i purchased the car. now i noticed that the new lens is also yellowing. can anyone tell me why this is happening and how can i prevent it, i don't want to keep buying lens covers. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions

jeff.

    turn signal lens turns yellow

I noticed a lot of aftermarket 240 lenses do that. It's the grade of plastic that's used reacting to sun's UV. OEM is better in this regards.

Like the headlights, some plastic polish will get some of the yellow out. Top it off with some good car wax with UV inhibitors, and it'll go a bit further.
