OK so when i turn on the ignition to the II mark and the oil pressure gauge clicks to the three (3 bar gauge) what bar should the needle drop to after the engine is started???? Thanks, Jon

The guage should not move until the engine starts and the oil pressure builds up. Possible problems would be: 1. the sender is an oil pressure switch for the warning light so the guage reading simply shows voltage at start, 2. the sender is the two terminal sender, one for the warning light the other for the pressure guage and the guage wire is on the wrong terminal, or 3. the sender is faulty.
