Location of CBV 700 1990

Hey guys...I need to check my CBV for leaks or tears...I can't seem to find it. What is its exact location? I know it's somewhere near the turbo itself but I just can't find it...

The CBV on cars with the garrett turbo is located above teh PS pump on the front left of the engine (facing it). It's the item with the bell looking thing on top of it, and has a vacuum hose going from the top of it across the crankcase cover to the intake manifold (hose has a red and grey plastic delay valve in the middle of it).

In the case of mutsubishi turbos the cbv is a part of the turbo unit and is located on the top of the turbo housing. Again, you can find it by following the hose from teh intake manifold over to the turbo (no delay valve in the middle of the hose for the mitsubishi turbos).

Are you talking about the small hose that goes over over the motor by the oil cap on to the turbo?

Yes, there are two hoses that go over the crankcase cover (top of the engine); the large oil separator hose from the main turbo hose and the CBV vacuum hose.

If you have a garrett this hose will lead up to the front left of the engine and connect with a little bell looking thing ontop of a plastic valve... the bell looking thing is the CBV actuator, the part below it is the CBV itself (all one item actually). Also, the vacuum hose will have a small grey/red delay valve in the middle if you have a garrett.

If you have a mitsubishi the hose will lead across the crankcase coverand over to the turbo itself, where it will connect with a valve on the top end of the turbo closest to the front of teh car. This is the CBV, which is built into the mitsu. This CBV doesn't require the aforementioned red/grey delay valve, so it won't be there.

No. Look for the little vacuum hose that runs over the valve cover from the intake manifold. It leads to the CBV.

90+ cars have the cbv connected to the turbo. It's the piece that has the hose coming from it that runs to the intake manifold (the big piece near your throttle body). That's as layman as I can get. Why do you think it's leaking?
