Can anybody answer my diesel Q's

I don't know a thing about volvo diesels but I've heard that there was a 4 and a 6 cylinder. If so, does any body know the capacities and peak power & torque and at what rpm? I love diesels and have never seen or heard of a diesel volvo car in Australia.

there was also a 5 cylinder D-20 available for a few years.
I have an '84 diesel (6 cyl d-24) and love it.

I thought diesels were pretty popular down there.

The diesel in the Volvo is made by VolksWagon and is also used in Audi. The engine is an enlargement of the original VW 4 used in their cars. Most of the VW maintence tools work on the Volvo engine. The Volvo 6 is 2.2 liters as I remember and with the turbo developed about 110 HP, as I remember.) With regular maintence they'll go 200 to 250 Kmiles before a major over haul. The injector components in the US, with low sulfur fuel, are only good for about 60K miles before over haul.
