WHAT THE F*** IS THIS PART AND WHERE DO THE VACUUM HOSES GO???? 262 200 1980

As I was looking under the hood I of my Bertone Coupe I noticed this part on that is bolted to the valve cover right above the #3 cylinder (which would be the back righthand side) that has a big circular end on it with two spots for big vacuum lines.. one of them is tied into a bunch of other vacuum lines but there is no vacuum line connected to the other nor can I find a loose one dangling around anywhere..... what in gods name is this part and why the hell isn't it hooked up but more importantly where does it conect to. Also what symptoms would I be getting with it being how it is currently. My car runs like ass right now.. better than before but still runs like ass...

WHAT THE F*** IS THIS PART AND WHERE DO THE VACUUM HOSES GO???? 262 200 1980

I have the one for a 260 biatch... it keeps insisting my engine is a b27.. even though they are similar.. i have the haynes 260 manual.. the haynes 740/760 manual.. and the chiltons manual that thinks it can cover all these volvos in one book... too bad my bently didn't make a book for the 260.. anyawyz shit.. i was hoping it was something important.. the car is running all f**ked off.. got it to where it starts (once it starts) it idles ok kinda but if u try and rev it it chokes and almost stalls (sometimes it will stall).. sounds like a hella rich mixture or something.. this weekend I am going to replace all the vacuum hoses and check the timing and see if i can adjust the mixture and all that jazz.

I seem to have heard that the PRVs had an auxilary vaccum dealie. Mebe that's what you're looking at. Mebe it's part of the idle motor.. being all posh and pimpy I suppose the Berton-e had the nightmare that is CIS as well as two K-Jet banks (have fun with that).

Ya know that Volvo made manuals too, right?

Don't forget the gatherings of PRV nuts on the swedishbricks mailing list. More 260s and 760s than you can swing a dead cat at.

How bout that seat next to ya sis?
