Knock at cold start 700

I have a 1990 760T but I am worried about a solid knock during a cold start. The colder it is the more pronounced and longer it lasts. The car seems to rum fine but I am worried. I have some valve/lifter noise but this is louder than that. Any help????

It's called piston slap, and it's nothing to worry about. It happens when the piston rocks in it's bore bacause it's cold and hasn't expanded yet. My 91 245 has a loud case of it. I think Volvo solved the problem in 93 when they used longer pistons, my 94 940T is slap free.
