Part number please.

Does anyone know the part number of this?

I can barely read the number off it and the last digit is obscured, but I think it's: 1317296

This is the knock sensor from my '86 240 DL (B230F). It has a single connector. The connector is flopping around and I suspect it could cause trouble.

I should start a pic <-> part number <-> common name database. Anyone want to help?

    Part number please.

That looks just like the knock sensor that was on my '87 240. Mine also had a "flopping" connector. All I did was get a new one from fcpgroton. I didn't need a part number, I think there is only 1 knock sensor for that vintage.

BTW I could never tell the difference between having the knock sensor connected or not on the '87. The car never knocked, and the timing wasn't getting WAY retarded either. If I unplug the knock sensor on the '89, the timing is so retarded that it's a total dog on acceleration (and of course the check engine light comes on). The '89 knock sensor looks different, too. Different systems I guess.

That looks like the oil pressure sender.

I think that's on the other side of the engine. I am almost certain it's the knock sensor.
