Today I was getting ready to do the auto trans flush that I read about on this board, and now after speaking wuth a guy at the local trans shop I am having second thoughts. He informed me that I would fry my trans. I am sure that it is possible that he was just telling me this to get my buisness, but he sounded pretty convincing. Says it comes out faster than it can go in and that it would burn it up. But he also told me that for $100.00 he would do it. I have never taken any of my cars to a shop for anything, so I am very mechanical and very capable. so is he full of s--t or what? For those that don't know the procedure as I have read about on the board is that you disconnect the top line at the radiator, connect a hose to the line coming from the radiator, run it to a milk jug so you can keep track of the quantity and have someone start the car and as it is pumping out you are adding it into the dipstick tube. How could this fry it since there is still plenty of fluid on everything?
