discharge, o.d. off light wierdness 200

So on the way home this evening my discharge/alt. light lit up as well as my o.d. off light though the o.d. didn't kick in. I panicked for a second as I was in rush hour L.A. traffic then hit the o.d. button. The o.d. kicked in, I depressed button again and all was back to normal.

Any ideas?

p.s. I did take my instrument cluster out this weekend to check out my broken odometer but didn't experience any wierdness until today.
