O/D Switch Replacement 700

Hi guys,


My manual gearstick hasn't got an O/D switch (since I bought it), and I have an electrical switch here which fits the hole perfectly (it isn't a standard Volvo O/D switch). I was told by somebody that it had to be a special high voltage / or high current switch or something???? for the O/D. Is this true? The switch I have is rated @ 250Volts @ 1amp, or 125 volt @ 2amp. Will this switch be allright?
